Lake Minocoqua
Fondly known as our “natural amenity”, The Pointe Hotel & Suites overlooks 800 foot frontage of beautiful Lake Minocqua. As one of only a few lodging properties located on the shores of Lake Minocqua, our amazing waterfront setting provides unique lake views from all our Condo and Studio Units and their private balcony decks or patios. Our guests have easy access to our private boat docks for summer’s boating pleasures, and during the winter months have quick access from the resort’s property to hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails over frozen Lake Minocqua.
Boat Docks
Our lakeside property features a 220 foot main dock with fifteen 20′ length slips.
Resort Rental Canoes and Kayaks: readily available at our pier. Small rental fee required.
Some wonderful and exciting fishing can be done from the resort’s lakefront pier; don’t forget your fishing gear!
Although the resort’s lakefront is not suited to offer a swimming beach, Minocqua’s public beach (Torpy Park and Beach) is easily accessible from the resort by a short half mile walk or drive.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE ABOUT THE RESORT’S BOAT SLIPS
Our property’s boat slips can service boats that are no more than 24 feet in length with a nine (9) foot beam. This restriction will be regulated by resort staff. Boat dimensions that are longer than 24 feet or wider than nine feet will be restricted from parking at the property’s piers, including pontoon boats. Unfortunately, this restriction was necessary to eliminate costly damage and repairs that have occurred to the resort’s pier system. Due to the restriction, a guest who choses to bring a larger boat will not be permitted to park at a boat slip and will need to remove the boat from the water every day parking it in the property’s overflow parking area. Before renting a pontoon boat or any other boat style, know the length, as lengths over 24 feet shall not be permitted to park at our boat slips.
Resort management is informing all guests/boating enthusiasts of this restriction prior to booking a reservation to provide the opportunity for the guest to seek out other boat parking opportunities on the Minocqua Chain of lakes and to eliminate any guest misunderstanding about our resort’s boat parking restriction.
Boat Slips Must Be Reserved. All boat slips are for resort guests only and must be reserved in advance and will require a daily or weekly fee. There is no first come, first serve slip availability. To reserve a slip check on availability when making your room reservation.
Renting A Boat From a Local Vendor; rental boats must be no longer than 24 feet and this includes pontoon boats (no exceptions). Check with the resort first for boat slip docking availability prior to finalizing a boat rental agreement.
Bumpers Recommended — our boat slips are located in a high boat travel area of the lake. We recommend that guests bring boat side bumpers. The resort will not be responsible for any boat damage.
Indoor Swimming Pool & Recreation Center
Our Recreation Center (swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna and fitness center) daily hours are from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
We take great pride in our flagship amenity; the resort’s indoor Recreation Center. Easily accessed from all guest rooms through indoor hallways, the Center features an indoor pool, whirlpool, cedar sauna, fitness room and family changing/shower rooms. Our guest can indulge in total relaxation in these beautiful amenities. Relax and enjoy!
Fire Pit, Grills & Picnic Patios
Available for use throughout the summer and fall months.
If you’re looking to enjoy a true Northwoods experience during your stay, take advantage of our lakeside fire pit patio, and enjoy a few s’mores. But, before those treats, consider firing up one of the many available gas grills located lakeside on our property to make a hamburger, an authentic Wisconsin bratwurst, a delicious steak, or whatever tempts your palate. There’s no better setting to enjoy than the exceptional views of Lake Minocqua. Treat your self to the best during your getaway.
Canoe, Kayak, & Bicycle Rentals
Explore Minocqua from a different perspective! See Minocqua from the water by renting one the resort’s kayaks or canoes or rent a bicycle and cruise Minocqua’s historical Bearskin bike and hiking trail. These sport amenities are available daily at the resort. Or, we encourage our guests to bring their personal kayaks, canoes, or bicycles to explore the area; we’ll point you in the right direction for some fun exploration.
Visit with our front desk team members to set up your rental and all necessary equipment to enjoy your adventure! These amenities are extremely popular and are rented on a first come-first serve basis.
Canoe, kayak and bicycle rentals are available June 1 through mid-October.
Continental Breakfast
Breakfast
Our continental breakfast program offers hot waffles, assorted muffins, English muffins, individual packaged dry cereals, hard boiled eggs, an assortment of yogurt and apples, orange juice and milk. For guest convenience, breakfast trays have been conveniently provided in each lodging unit so breakfast items can be easily transported back to the comforts of a guest room. Coffee and filter packets are provided within each lodging unit.
All One and Two Bedroom Condominiums feature full kitchens for guests to plan and prepare simple meals. We encourage our guests to bring breakfast items for enhanced breakfasts or our Front Desk Associates will be happy to provide directions to local cafes or grocery stores located close to the resort.
Fitness Center
The resort’s fitness center is located adjacent to the swimming pool and includes an elliptical, treadmills, a stationary bike, plus weight lifting machine. Enjoy a little television or music while you work up your heart rate. After a good workout, enjoy a refreshing shower in our comfortable changing rooms.
Snowmobiling - Bicycling - Hiking
Spring, summer and fall, Minocqua has one of the best cycling and hiking trails in Wisconsin. Located just .4 mile from the resort with easy access to the historic Bearskin Trail cyclists, hikers, walkers and runners can experience 18.2 miles (one way) of trail solitude as one makes their way through towering Northwood’s hardwood forests, alongside beautiful marshes and lakes, and over historical railroad trestle structures. On the trail you can leave the stress of everyday life behind!
Access snowmobile trails directly from our property. Our property’s snowmobile trail leads directly to frozen Minocqua Lake and from there to hundreds of miles of trails. When you’re ready to warm up, return to the resort and the coziness of the large field stone wood burning lobby fireplace. Our property offers a lighted snowmobile parking area.
